Lawrence E. Harshman, 93, of Eatonton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Lawrence was born on April 14, 1933, in Midland, Michigan, to the late Guy and Mildred Harshman. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Lawrence worked as a piping designer with several engineering firms. Among the projects he worked on were the Alaska pipeline and designs for many automotive plants in southern Michigan.
Lawrence had a passion for Corvettes and owned a 1964 and 1968 Corvette. He enjoyed working on his houses on Lake Sinclair in Eatonton, Georgia, and Wixom Lake in Hope, Michigan.
Lawrence is survived by his sister, Doranne Weaver of Blairsville, Georgia; his nieces and nephews, Robert E. Harshman of Canton, Georgia, Lisa C. Smith of Forsyth, Georgia, and Jeffrey Weaver (Amanda) of Sharpsburg, Georgia; his great-nephew, Reed H. Baxter; and great-nieces, Casey Weaver and Bristol Weaver. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert G. Harshman.
