Laurence "Larry" E. Brown

Laurence E. "Larry" Brown, 73, of Gray, passed away April 10, 2018. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Hart's Chapel of Jones County, 307 Pecan Road, Gray. Graveside services will follow at 3:00PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens on Houston Road, Macon. The Reverend Steve Johnson and the Reverend Gary Thomas will officiate. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served for 4 years. He retired from Brown and Williamson after 25 years of service. He loved to go camping, sailing and working on cars. Mr. Brown was predeceased in death by his daughter, Diane Brown Armoska, sister, Bonnie Bell, and his parents Laurence Sr. and Dorothy. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 18 years, Melanie S. Brown of Gray; children, Tammy Case (John) of Macon, Charlie Courtney of Arkansas, Angela Sebestyen (Danny) of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Dusty Gardner (Stacy) of Jones County, and Tara Gardner of Gray; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Cooper, Joy Ford and Beverly Cunningham; and brother, Terry Brown.
