Laura Ann Davis

Macon-Laura Ann Peters Davis, 85, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 in a local hospital. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Hart's Mortuary Chapel. Reverend Jack Key will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 27, 2010 at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Mrs. Davis was a lifelong member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church, Hillcrest United Methodist Women, and Hillcrest United Methodist Circle Group. She was a fine Christian woman who will be dearly missed by all. Mrs. Davis was retired from Robins Air Force Base as a telephone operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Davis of 58 years, her parents, J.D. and Ruby Johnson Peters, her sister Margaret Bagley, her brothers Merrill Peters, Noel Peters, and Bill Peters, and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Davis. Mrs. Davis' memory will forever be treasured by her daughter Kathy Davis Piper of Macon, two sons, Dennis Davis of Griffin, and James and Susan Davis of Forsyth, her brother, Joseph and Marion Peters of Bolingbroke, her grandchildren Shan Collins, Erin Martin, Josh Davis, Casey Piper, Valerie Reynolds, and Katie Piper, and ten great grandchildren…As Mama would say, "Tubaloo."
