Laura Gaddy Barbour

Laura Gaddy Barbour, 71, of Macon, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023.  A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2023, with the Reverend Will Johnson attending.  The family will greet friends following the service.  The family requests that attendees wear purple and yellow attire.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 2306 Vineville Ave., Macon, GA 31204.

Ms. Barbour was a graduate of Avondale High School.  She retired from Larson-Juhl in Duluth, Georgia.  A devout Christian, she was a member of First Christian Church in Macon and could always be found reading her bible.  She was humble and selfless and sent out devotionals to her friends at Magnolia Manor and family every morning.  Ms. Barbour was an artistic soul who loved doing arts and crafts for her family.  She loved butterflies.

Ms. Barbour is survived by her children, Nicole Kroll (Michael) of Lafayette, Louisiana, Robert Barbour (Aathira), and Joshua Barbour, both of Macon; grandchildren, Jon Kroll, Patrick Kroll, and Lillian Kroll; sister, Elaine Butler of East Point, Georgia; brother, Jim Gaddy (Donna) of Smyrna, Georgia; nieces, Jacquie Colgan (Susan) of Atlanta, Brie Gaddy of Pensacola, Florida, and Bonnie Wise of Pensacola; nephew, James Gaddy of Pensacola; and great nieces, Samantha Martin and Virginia Colgan.
