Larry Walker Stevenson

Larry Walker Stevenson, 73, of Gray, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Haddock Baptist Church with Dr. Ron McClung officiating.  The family will greet friends at 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private at Cedar Ridge Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haddock Baptist Church, 180 Ethridge Rd, Haddock, GA 31033.

Son of the late John Walker and Audrey Bloodworth Stevenson, Mr. Stevenson was a member of Haddock Baptist Church for 24 years, serving as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent, not missing a Sunday 17 of those 24 years.  He retired after 38 years at Engelhard Corporation, where he worked in Research and Development as a lab technician.  His hobbies included painting and drawing.   Mr. Stevenson was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Stevenson and Bert Stevenson.

Mr. Stevenson is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Amerson Stevenson of Gray; children, Kevin W. Stevenson (Jennifer) of Waycross, Georgia, and Kristi Dobbs (Randall) of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, Garrett Stevenson, Gabbie Stevenson, Jayden Whitehead, Colin Dobbs, Cameron Dobbs, and Caleigh Dobbs; and sister, Laverne Patterson (Bobby) of Macon.
