Larry Neal Newberry: 75, of Byron, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Midway Baptist Church, Lizella, Ga. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Joey Hamrick and Reverend Larry Newberry will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday, May 20, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Born in Macon, Ga., he was the son of the late Newman and Bessie Ross Newberry. He was the husband of the late Phyllis Newberry. He was retired warehouse sales manager from the Macon Mine and Mill. He had also worked with Macon Supply and Corbin Supply. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church and was a golden gloves boxer in his early years. He was predeceased grandson, Joshua Briscoe and granddaughter, Michelle Johnson; great grandson, Gavin Newberry. He is survived by his children, Esther (Terry) Dowling of Waycross, Ga.; Kay(Jimmy) Nease of Marlowe, Ga.; Ivy Sullivan of Waycross, Ga.; Rebecca(Jimmy) Goines of Register, Ga.; Thedis (Ronnie) Rozier of Roberta, Ga.; Pamelia Briscoe and Floyd Rogers of Byron, Ga.; Eleven Grandchildren, Nine great Grandchildren and One great great Grandchild, Makayla Bailey. Brother, Johnny Newberry of Macon, Ga.; Sisters, Reba Trotter of Metter, Ga.; Lillie Mae Davidson of Bon Aqua, Tennessee. Family may be contacted at the residence.
