Larry Eugene Greene

Larry Eugene Greene, 91, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on January 19, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.

Son of the late Christopher Columbus Greene and Cora Lee Connell Greene, Larry was born in Quitman, Georgia on January 14, 1934.  Proudly serving his country, Larry was a member of the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Tarawa during the Korean War.

He was the former owner of Trice Business Machines. Larry's passions extended beyond his work as he was an avid golfer and boater. He was a member of Timber Pines Golf Club in Spring Hill and Oak Haven Golf Club, where he earned the title of Club Champion.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Karen Bass (Dana) of Gray, Georgia, and Connie McNair of Hampton; grandchildren: Shane Whittington, Heather Bradshaw, Dane Bass, Kari Eidson, Justin McNair, and Dixie McNair; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Vivian Bailey (Charles E. “Sonny”) of Macon, Georgia, and Juanita Halcome (David) of Spring Hill, Florida.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Loudell Giddens Greene.
