Larry Cheshire

Macon- Larry "Donnie" Cheshire, 61, was granted his wings on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 and welcomed to Heaven, surrounded by his devoted wife of 30 years, and his children. Daddy put on a brave face and put up a courageous fight during his extended illness. Mr. Cheshire attended Willingham High School and graduated in 1968. He was also the founder and coach of the Macon Chiefs. Mr. Cheshire was a member of Macon Evangelistic Church and a cast member of He Touched Me. He was the son of the late E. B. Cheshire and the late Margaret Cheshire of Macon, Georgia. Mr. Cheshire is survived by his wife, Debbie Cheshire; daughters, Denise Armstrong of Macon, Wendy (Blaine) Jones of Phoenix, Arizona , and Jessica (John) Vastakis of Macon; son, Bryan Cheshire of Macon; Sister, Lisa (Steve) Sark. 3 grandchildren, Emily and Troy Jones of Phoenix, Arizona and Jaxson Vastakis of Macon. Services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at 11AM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
