Kent S. Sutton

Kent S. Sutton, 83, of Macon, died Saturday, February 6, 2021.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service.  Interment will be at private Oak Grove Cemetery in McRae, Georgia.

Son of the late Starling T. Sutton, Sr. and Edna Green Sutton, Mr. Sutton was a salesman for Dillard Paper Company in Atlanta for 31 years.  He also served in the United States Army National Guard for 6 years. He lived in Atlanta until 9 years ago, when he moved to Macon for health reasons.  He made friends everywhere he went in Macon, including Ingleside Baptist Church, the Wellness Center, and the Macon Southside Dialysis Center.  He loved Georgia football!  Mr. Sutton was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda June Sutton Gross.

Mr. Sutton is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Winn Sutton-Minter of Macon; grandchildren, Winn Minter and Sutton Minter; former wife, Grace W. Smith (Jim) of Macon; and brother, Paul Sutton (Lynn) of Snellville, Georgia.
