Kenneth M. Johnson

Kenneth M. Johnson, 67, of Lizella, left for his heavenly home Saturday, December 28, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am, January 4, 2025, at United Community Church, 2411 Heath Road, Macon, GA 31220, with the Reverend Jim Johnson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.

Ken Johnson was born February 5, 1957, in Charlotte North Carolina. Ken is survived by his wife, Marilyn Johnson of Lizella; his two wonderful children, Alison Summerfield Turner and husband Brandon Turner of Canton, Georgia, and Martin Coty Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia. He was a grandfather to four amazing grandchildren: Arlo, Ezra, August, & Eloise Turner. He is also survived by his mother, Jean Johnson of Fort Myers, Florida; sister, Patti Buckingham (Rich) of Fort Myers; brother, Jay Johnson (Nan) of Richmond, Virginia; & nephew, Michael Tsoulos (Elizabeth) of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his father, James Summerfield Johnson; nephew, Christopher Tsoulos; and his uncle, Tommy Ellers.

Ken had such a true passion for anything involving exercise; biking, playing racquet ball, and running were his favorites. He worked for Grainger for 35 years and transferred to GIGA where he worked for several more years. Ken could be found washing his cars and enjoying his shop every weekend. The family asks in memory of Ken, to please make donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation . Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola has charge of arrangements.
