Kenneth Earl Conaway, Sr.

Kenneth Earl Conaway, 82, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2014 in the Georgia War Veterans Home, Milledgeville, Georgia. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 2:00PM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Forney, Alabama. The family will greet friends on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia. Born in Anniston, Alabama on June 13, 1931, Mr. Conaway was the son of the late Jeff Conaway and the late Tommie Jane Conaway and was predeceased by his wife, Mary. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in education and from Auburn University with a master's degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a chemical engineer and a retired United States Army Lt. Colonel. Mr. Conaway had worked for Westinghouse, Engelhard Minerals and Chemicals and Bickerstaff Clay Products. Mr. Conaway is survived by his sons, Ken Conaway, Jr. (Donna), Brian Conaway (Jane) and Jeff Conaway; granddaughters, Dr. Brooke Conaway, Kimberly Northcott, Farrell Conaway and Flynn Conaway.
