June 22, 1989 — December 7, 2020

Katie Josephine Bolmgren, 31, of Gray passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020. A Prayer Service will be Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Hart’s Jones County Chapel with the Reverend Cesar Basillica officiating. The family will greet friends at the front of the Chapel following the service. Graveside services will be held later at Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Katie’s honor to Camp Braveheart at https://give.choa.org

Katie was born June 22, 1989 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her parents, Maureen and Ed Bolmgren; two sisters, Bridget Teskey (Joe) of Athens, Georgia, and Maggie Bolmgren of Athens, Georgia; one niece, Evelyn Teskey of Athens, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Shelia Daughtry, Deirdre Foster, Kevin Dunn, Sharon Kenny, Bridget Zabel, Annette Stogeill (Cliff), Adriana Berky, Carol Smith (Ed), Allen Bolmgren (Suzanne), Beverly Mowry (Dave), Donna Sells (Dean), Fred Bolmgren (Mary), Gwen Hanley (Bobby); and many cousins. She was the granddaughter of the late Joan and John Dunn, and Glen and Peggy Bolmgren.

Katie loved music and was a video game enthusiast. She had a passion for beauty products and was considered a makeup artist with an edgy style.  Katie enjoyed cooking, especially Asian cuisine. She was a graduate from Jones County High School and graduated with a Cardiology degree from Central Georgia Technical College. She was a junior counselor at Camp Braveheart and considered a success story by the patients. For the past four years, she worked as a dental assistant for Jacobs Pediatric Dentistry in Macon, Georgia; prior to that, Katie worked many years for Dillard’s in the Fragrance department.

Katie was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
