Kathryn Hinton Overman

Interment services for Kathryn Hinton Overman, who died January 26, 2016, in Winston-Salem, NC, will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, Georgia on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Mrs. Overman was preceded in death by her husband, John Overman. Born on April 7, 1926, she was the daughter of Bessie Hickman Hinton and Charles Jackson Hinton. She received her B.A. Degree from Mercer University in 1945 and her Master of Arts Degree from Mercer in 1952. She was a retired teacher. Mrs. Overman was a member of Vineville Baptist Church in Macon. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Larry Nicholson, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends at Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, on Saturday from 6-7:30PM.
