Kathryn Woodell Fowler

Kathryn Woodell Fowler, 81, of Gray, died Thursday, September 24, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Hart’s Jones County Chapel.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Graveside services will be private at Elam Memorial Gardens.

Daughter of the late Melyear “Sam” and Oma Sheppard Woodell, Mrs. Fowler loved quilting and was a member of the Jarrell Plantation Quilting Guild.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her brother, Merlin Woodell, and sisters, Nancy Locklear, Diana Bruce, and Mary Woodell.

Mrs. Fowler is survived by her husband of 64 years, Johnny C. Fowler, Jr. of Gray; children, Johnny C. Fowler, III (Joy) of Warner Robins, David Randall Fowler, Sr. (Teresa) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Eric Fowler of Gray, and Vickie Fowler Lummus (Lynn) of Whitesburg, Georgia; grandchildren, April Weeks (Jay), Lindsey Fowler, Valerie Hall (Joshua), Randy Fowler, Joe Fowler (Amanda), Chelsea Farley (Burns), Kayley Fowler, Kara Fowler, Courtney Lummus, Abigail Lummus and Claire Lummus; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Nina Hawkins of Macon; brothers, Melyear “Woody” Woodell (Mary) of Goodlettesville, Tennessee, Lowery Woodell (Gwen) of Macon, Wayne Woodell of Macon; sister-in-law, Margie Woodell of Macon.
