Katheryn Giles

Katheryn Graham Giles, 68, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Hart’s Mortuary’s Chapel of the Cupola, with Father Scott Winchel officiating.  Inurnment will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Katheryn spent most of her life caring for her family and close friends. She enjoyed watching NASCAR with her husband and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She attended many of their dance, gymnastics, and sporting events.  She retired from Coliseum Behavioral Health after 25 years of service. She had a passion for helping people and giving people a chance, encouraging them to be their best self.

Katheryn is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Morgan Giles, of Lizella, Georgia; daughter, Jessica Giles (Brian), of Fort Valley, Georgia; granddaughters, Madison and Payton Dougharty, and Kaylyn Willard; godson, Joshua Amerson, of Macon, Georgia; sisters, Vickie Brinkley (Matt), of Roswell, Georgia; and Bobbie Pierce (Bruce), of Lizella, Georgia; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Jan Roberts, of Macon, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Laverne Graham; son, Trey Giles; and lifelong friend, Pamela Barrow Amerson.
