June Combs Binford

June Combs Binford, 78, of Macon, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, November 7, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Hart’s at the Cupola, with Reverend Matt Pippin officiating.

Daughter of the late Charlie Riffers Combs and Ruthe Jane Combs, June was born on June 6, 1946, in Big Spring, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Thad Benjamin Binford. June and Thad were inseparable and devoted their lives to each other without hesitance.

June retired as a paralegal in 2006 from the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Asset Forfieture Division after 29 years of dedicated service. She was known for her unconditional love and support of her children and grandchildren, and unwavering determination and willingness to give and help those in need. She found joy in the kitchen, preparing endless meals for her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and moments with them were treasured memories she held dear. A true sports fan, June enjoyed cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons. June's love for the great outdoors was evident. She loved watching birds and took great pride in her flower gardens. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.

June will be lovingly remembered by her children, Alecia Huntsman (Mark) of Forsyth, Georgia, Benjie Binford (Carmen) of Forsyth, Georgia, and Michelle Grinnell of Macon; grandchildren: Brock Toller, Carter Beth Toller, Kaylee Binford, and Sadie Binford, William Grinnell, III, Jordan Grinnell; sister, Brenda Smith of Macon; and her beloved pet Maggie Mae, who gave her many years of comfort and companionship.
