Julie Ann McWilliams Rowell, 52, of Macon, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Hart’s at the Cupola.
Julie graduated from Tattnall Square Academy after attending from kindergarten through twelfth grade. She excelled at basketball all through high school, winning many awards including MVP her senior season.
She went on to become a licensed practical nurse and worked for many years in that field. She truly enjoyed helping others and took such pride in what she did. She also took pride in her creative ability for decorating and that was quite obvious in her home. She also enjoyed and loved her furry friends, Smokey, Dixie and Katie who loved and took care of her for many years as well.
Julie is survived by her mother, Carolyn McWilliams; siblings, Tracy Shaw (John), and Sam McWilliams (Jennifer); nieces and nephews: Tad Newman (Logan), Olivia Shaw, Alyssa Deaton, Aidan Deaton, and Brayleigh McWilliams; great nephew, Nash Newman; aunts and uncles, Roy and Sylvia McWilliams and Margaret Smith, and many cousins, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Rowell; father, Robert Preston McWilliams; brother, Robert McWilliams, Jr.; aunt, Judy Tucker; and grandparents, Orell and Louise McWilliams, Benjamin James, and Evelyn James.
Hart’s at the Cupola, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of the arrangements.
