Judy Anne Wall Smith

Judy Anne Wall Smith, 73, of Gray, Georgia, passed away on June 4, 2025.  A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Elam Memorial Gardens.  The family will greet friends following the service.

Daughter of the late A.D. and Maude Wall, Judy was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on September 21, 1951.  For many years she worked as the admissions clerk at Central State Hospital.

The past was Judy’s passion, and she was deeply involved with several heritage organizations. She was a member of the United Daughters of The Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, and First Families of Georgia. She was also an avid genealogist and dedicated countless hours to tracing family roots and untangling the branches of many family trees.

Judy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jett V.W. Smith of Gray; sister, Joyce Bellflower (Joe) of Milledgeville, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Carl Stephen Smith of Birmingham, Alabama and Sam Smith (Virginia) of Guyton, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Lisa Evins (Gary) of Pensacola, Florida and Susan Smith of South Carolina; nieces and nephews, John Smith, Katherine Ward (Robert), Sarah Blankenship, Michelle Evins, Jody Bellflower, Jay Bellflower, and Joanna Paszek.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, David Wall.
