Judy Carol Hunnicutt Carswell

Judy Carol Hunnicutt Carswell, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 17, 2013 at home with her family. Memorial services will be at 1:00PM on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with J.W. Little officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hephzibah Children's Home, 6601 Zebulon Road, Macon, Georgia 31220. Judy was retired from Bibb County School System at Alexander II where she was both a teacher and physical education coach for more than 30 years. She was beloved by both students and faculty and was affectionately known as Coach Carswell. Judy was a graduate of Mary Persons High School. She earned her degree in Physical Education from Georgia Southern University where she was a cheerleader. She then graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in Biology. She was preceded in death by her father, J.C. Hunnicutt and mother, Mary Nisbet Hunnicutt; brothers, Wallace Hunnicutt and Johnny Hunnicutt; and brother-in-law, John Carswell. Survivors include her husband, Julian Robert "Bob" Carswell; daughter, Mary Tucker Carswell; sister, Dr. Trellis Baker (John); niece, Kate Baker; sister-in-law, Dot Little (J.W.); nephew, Jay Little; niece, Laurie Little; niece, Sara Little; sister-in-law, Judy Carswell; niece, Catherine Carswell; and nephew, Lindsey Carswell.
