Judith Fitzgibbons Carswell

Judith Fitzgibbons Carswell, 72, of Macon, Georgia died Sunday, May 14, 2017. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 2:00PM at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Julie King officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Methodist Home, 304 Pierce Ave, Macon, Georgia 31204. Mrs. Carswell retired from the Bibb County Board of Education. She was a charter member of the Potpourri Garden Club, a member of Phi Mu Sorority and a presentee of the Bons Hommes. She graduated from Miller High School and Brenau University. Mrs. Carswell was the daughter of the late Maxine and George Fitzgibbons. She was predeceased by her husband John L. Carswell, Jr. Mrs. Carswell is survived by her daughter, Catherine Carswell; son, John Lindsey Carswell, III; grandson, Daniel Edwin Eberhardt, III; step-mother, Mildred Fitzgibbons; sisters and brothers, Connie Kay (George), JoEllen Hurt (Paul), George Fitzgibbons (Ally), Todd Fitzgibbons (Janice), Susan Abernathy (Greg), Gregg Fitzgibbons (Deedee); sister-in-law, Dot Little (J.W.); and many nieces and nephews.
