Judith Mae Caldwell

Judith Mae Caldwell, age 83, died quietly surrounded by family on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the John Wesley Villas in Macon, Georgia. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later. She was born in Ohio to Marion and Walter Hayes and was the youngest of three children. Don Caldwell, who predeceased her, lost his battle with cancer in 2007. Judy and Don's business, Caldwell and Sons Opticians, was family owned and operated for over 50 years. She continued to work there until she was 80. She was predeceased by her daughter, Tracy Ann Bush, and survived by her children: Randi Layne, Steve Clark, Karen Fraase, Pam Caldwell and Vic Caldwell. She has eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Those who knew Judy loved her sweet, kind and understanding nature. She always had a smile and a hug to give. She was an active member of Ingleside Baptist Church. Seeing the familiar faces of her family and community each day was her greatest joy.
