Joyce Priester Haddock passed away on February 17, 2018. Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24 at Hart's Mortuary on Peake Road with a Memorial Service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local Humane Society or animal shelter. Joyce was born to the late Wyman Jesse Priester, Sr. and Bessie Corley Priester of Macon. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bruce Haddock, with whom she spent many years in Fort Valley, GA; daughter, Jeanni Haddock Budd of Macon; brothers, Leroy Warren Priester and Wyman Jesse Priester, Jr. She was a graduate of Mercer University and worked as a legal secretary until her retirement. Joyce was a long time member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church and a member of XYZ Senior Group at Vineville Baptist Church. She loved animals and spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are: her son, Richard Haddock (Amy) and grandson, Dalton Haddock of Gray; granddaughter, Anne Townshend Budd of Hattiesburg, MS; son-in-law, Bill Budd of Macon; brother, Francis Priester (Maxine) of Panama City, FL; brother, Kenton Priester (Anne) of Winston-Salem, NC; sister-in-law, Louise Priester of Macon; and many extended family members and friends.
