Joy Louise Leitch Pinkham

Joy Louise Leitch Pinkham passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Father Frank Critch officiating. Joy lived life to the fullest and with integrity and dignity. As Huntington's Disease chipped away at her independence, she planned for every detail of her compromised independence and to protect her loved ones. She accepted each new disability with grace and embraced joy with her whole being. She will always be loved. A lot. Joy was a 1982 graduate of Derby High School in Derby, Connecticut and received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Sacred Heart University. She was a Financial Analyst for Connecticut Bank and Trust, Fleet Finance, and Jefferson Pilot Insurance Company. Joy was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert E. Leitch and Patricia Howard Leitch Reynolds; sister, Patricia Ellen Leitch; loving step-father, Bernard Reynolds; and grandfather, Gilbert A. Leitch. Joy is survived by her former husband, Kevin Pinkham of Raleigh, North Carolina; two sisters, Andrea Leitch Haddix (Mort) of Macon, and Kate Reynolds (Pete O'Connell) of New Haven, Connecticut; three nieces, Annie O'Connell of Boston, Massachusetts, Jessica Leonard of Montgomery, Alabama, and Jennifer Lariscey of Panama City, Florida; two uncles, Dave Leitch (Stacey) of Brooklyn, Connecticut, and Norm Leitch (Colleen) of Lanesborough, Massachusetts; aunt, Sue Leitch Persson (Pete) of Dalton, Massachusetts; and grandmother, Helen Leitch of Dalton, Massachusetts.
