Joseph Wesley Johnson

Macon- Joseph Wesley Johnson, 55, of 3460 Cook Circle, died Thursday, April 26, 2012. Services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 1:00PM at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Reverend Bruce Conn officiating. Burial will be in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. The family may be contacted at the residence and will greet friends at the church on Saturday from noon until 1:00PM. Mr. Johnson, son of the late J. W. "Bill" Johnson, was a member of Cross Keys United Methodist Church. He was a 1974 graduate of Jonesco Academy where he was an outstanding football player and received a football scholarship to Troy State University. Mr. Johnson was an avid outdoorsman. He had a career as a skilled craftsman and was a building contractor. Mr. Johnson was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed. Mr. Johnson is survived by his mother, Frances Cook Johnson of Macon; sisters, Becky (Pete) Stevens of Cadwell and Patty (Wayne) Ellis of Juliette; brother, Mark (Lesa) Johnson of Macon; several nieces and nephews.
