Joseph John Parella

Macon- Joseph John Parella, 91, of 1106 Greendale Court, died Monday, March 16, 2009. Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 432 Forest Hill Road, Macon, GA 31210. Mr. Parella was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. He was a six year veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving with the ground crew during World War II. He served the last year of his military service in Calcutta, India. He was an avid golfer and played in many tournaments with his partner, Dr. Richard Hanberrry of Macon. Mr. Parella is survived by his wife, Sara Truesdel Parella, and his son, Michael Parella, both of Macon. Online register is located at www.hartsmort.com.
