Joseph “Joe” M. Carroll

Joseph “Joe” M. Carroll, 95, of Macon, went to be with the Lord on his late wife’s birthday, Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola. The Reverend Joe McDaniel will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Carroll was born in Mt. Vernon, Georgia to the late Bud and Essie Carroll. He moved to Macon in 1950. In 1960, he established Carroll’s Moving and Storage. He had a lifelong passion for work and dedicated his life to serving others. He worked hard to take care of his family. Mr. Carroll is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Wilkes Carroll, one sister and three brothers.

Mr. Carroll is survived by his children, Mary Jo (Dubs) Boyd of Macon, Rabon (Lisa) Carroll of Gray, Georgia, Ronald (Donna) Carroll of Lizella, Georgia and Kathy Carroll White of Macon; grandchildren, Boyd Elrod, Brandon Elrod, Brad Elrod, Ashley Mason, Chris Carroll, Bruce Carroll, Ryan Carroll, Ronald Carroll, Jr., Kimberly Mauldin and Sydney White Payne; and 13 great grandchildren.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
