Macon- Joseph Edward "Doc" Floyd, 59, of 121 EK Boulevard, died Sunday, July 26, 2009. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. The Reverend Clinton Fields will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to United Hospice, 6060 Lakeside Commons Drive, Macon, GA 31210. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary. Mr. Floyd is survived by his wife, Lola Mae Floyd of Macon; brother and sisters, Larry Griffin of Macon, Shirley Hall of North Carolina, and Dennie Griffin of Macon; stepsons, Edward Line (Tajuana) of Monticello and Lee Chandler (Amanda) of Florida.
