Jose` Buenaventura Barroso

José B. Barroso, 90, of Macon, died Friday, April 15, 2016. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00AM Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Allan McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. A Rosary will be at 7:00PM Tuesday, at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry St., with a visitation beginning at 6:00PM. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Mr. Barroso was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Born in Cuba, he moved to Georgia in the late 1950's. He began work at Pinkerton Electronics in 1960 where he worked as a television technician for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Barroso is survived by his wife, V. Mireya Barroso of Macon; two sons, Joseph Barroso (Wendy) of Byron, and George Barroso of Miami; four grandsons, Adam Barroso of Misssissippi, Chris Barroso of Macon, Daniel Barroso of Byron, and Andy Barroso of Byron; two sisters, Margarita Manes and Mercedes Montero, both of Miami; and a brother, Augustin Barroso of Cuba.
