Jonathan "Matt" Matthew Wood

Jonathan Matthew “Matt” Wood, 35, of Gordon, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Matt was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Richard Irving and Virginia Baughcum Wood.  He loved video gaming, but he also loved his profession and working hard and providing for his family.

Matt is survived by his son, Tanner Wood of Macon; fiancée, Kisha A. Hodges-Wood and her sons, Michael’ Evan and Austin; brother, Dustin Richard (Stacey) Wood of Macon; stepfather, David Lucas of Forsyth; nephew, Devyn Wood and niece, Layla Wood of Macon; cousin, Jodi (Crissy) Price; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
