Jonathan David Godfrey

Jonathan David Godfrey, 54, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Hart’s at the Cupola, with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. The family will greet friends for a reception following the service.

Born October 27, 1970, in Valdosta, Georgia, Jonathan was a proud graduate of Valdosta State University.  He was the respected President and Owner of MailSort Macon Inc. Outside of work, Jonathan was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors.

His dedication to serving others was evident in every aspect of his life, as he continuously sought ways to minister and uplift those around him. Jonathan will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jonathan is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Heather Henderson Godfrey of Macon; son, Clayton David Godfrey (Kaitlyn Hoxie) of Duluth, Georgia; parents, Terry and Pam Godfrey of Macon; brother, Wendell Godfrey, Jr. (Christine) of Ormond Beach, Florida; sister, Shannon Jett (Mike) of Jackson, Georgia; nephews, Christopher Godfrey (Destinee Cross), Samuel Godfrey (Hailey Yeomans), Brandon Godfrey, Connor Jett (Rachel), and Grayson Jett.
