Johnny Wayne Todd

Johnny Wayne Todd, 78, of Gray, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022.  Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel with the Reverend Timothy Peavy and the Reverend Lisa Johnson officiating.  The family will greet friends Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hart’s Jones County Chapel.  Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cochran, Georgia.

Son of the late John Henry and Marjorie Holderfield Todd, Johnny worked for 30 years as a machinist at Brown & Williamson.  He was a hard-working man and enjoyed working on lawn mowers and weed eaters even after his retirement.  He and his long-time friend, Ruby Turk, attended every Jones County sporting event, be it a home game or away.  He enjoyed going to the auctions in Gray and Barnesville and to the Cochran raceway.

Johnny never met a stranger and would hug or kiss everyone he knew.  He loved his daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren unconditionally and he cared for his wife, Joyce, until her death in 2018.

Johnny is survived by his daughters, Michelle Todd Brewer (Mark Wilson) of Kathleen, Georgia and Julie Todd Marsh (Myron) of Jones County; grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Brewer, Heather Nicole Todd (Jacob Russell), and Jonathan "JT" Todd; great grandchildren, Robert Brayden Ussery and Jordan Alexander Todd; brother, David Todd (Maravic); sister, Janiece Todd Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.
