Johnny Carl Sandefur, Sr.

Macon- Johnny Carl Sandefur, Sr., passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 11:00AM, in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, 6611 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220.

While attending Dudley Hughes High School, Johnny apprenticed at this father's sign company in the hey day of hand made advertising. He owned Electro Neon Sign Company for 20 years and was recognized in national publications for his work with Neon. Johnny was an avid motorcyclist, had a love for music and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Sandefur.

Survivors: Daughter, Shannon Lee Sandefur of Warner Robins; Son, Johnny Carl Sandefur, Jr., of Macon; Son, Christopher Brian (Donna) Sandefur of Byron; Son, Justin James Sandefur of Macon; Son, Curtis Lee Sandefur of Gordan; Mother, Ruth Wright of Macon; Sister, Judy Sandefur (Jim) Sutton of Macon; Nephew, Michael Anthony (Christie) Fuller, Jr. of Macon and 9 grandchildren.
