Johnny Pete Nicholas

Johnny Pete Nicholas, 92, died Sunday, December 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 28, 2012 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Hal Weidman officiating. Burial will be in Parker Cemetery for family only. Visitation will be between 4:00-6:00PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 753 College Street, Macon, Georgia 31201, or to donor's favorite charity. Mr. Nicholas was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He retired from Sysco Food Services of Atlanta. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Scottish Rite Temple and Al Sihah Shrine Temple. Mr. Nicholas was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and served in the pacific theatre for three and a half years. He was predeceased by his daughter, Gail Nicholas. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Fay Jones Nicholas of Macon; daughter, Beverly Nicholas of Macon; two sisters, Christine Nicholas of Macon and Dona Glazier Cox of Independence, Virginia.
