Johnny Livingston Hipps

Johnny Hipps, 70, of Gray, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 6:00 PM in the Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. The Reverend Gary Thomas will be officiating.

Johnny was born to the late John Livingston Hipps, Sr. and Winfred “Winnie” Rigby Anderson and step father Andy Anderson. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Gradwell (Cag) of Bolingbroke; son, John L. Hipps (Michaela Kaegi) of Gray; brother, Richard Tracey Hipps; sister, Diane Hipps; grandchildren, Colton Durden, Stokely Durden, Jade Hipps, Tripp Gradwell, Chase Gradwell, Noah Hipps and nephew, Joshua C. Hipps.

Johnny graduated from Jones County High School in 1969. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church and was retired from the Gray Police department. Johnny loved his family and farming.
