John Daniel (Sonny) Barfield

John Daniel (Sonny) Barfield, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Tucson, Arizona. A Macon native, he graduated from Mercer University and was a Navy veteran and retired Foreign Service officer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee and Minnie Daniel Barfield, three brothers and a half sister. Surviving are his wife, Constanza Quiroga Barfield; daughters, Kelly Eppic and Carol Richard; grandsons, Anthony Russo and Adam Richard; three great grandchildren, Catherine, Isabel and Phillip Russo; sister, Marion Barfield Garrette; brother, Robert Barfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
