John L. Rodriguez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John L. Rodriguez, on February 15, 2024 at the age of 82.  Memorial services and inurnment will be at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia, March 18, 2024 at 2:30pm.

Born in Crowley, Colorado, on May 1, 1941, John was the second to youngest son of Pedro and Juana Rodriguez, and last surviving sibling of 14 brothers and sisters.  He lived most of his life in California, where he was a beloved father to his oldest son, Johnny Rodriguez, daughter Lucia Rodriguez Lackey, and youngest son, Victor Rodriguez. John also leaves behind his two daughter-in-law’s, Elena and Emily, his son-in-law, Pierce and many adoring grandchildren, great grandchildren, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.

Our Pop was a unique and one-of-a-kind soul, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a golden youthful spirit, always welcoming everyone and turned ordinary moments into magic. This was his superpower.

A proud Marine Corp Veteran and passionate tennis player, he lived life to the fullest and touched the hearts of many.  He never missed a chance to tell a joke or story and make those around him smile. There was no one else on earth like him and he will never be forgotten.

Though our dad will be deeply missed by all his loved ones, his family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace now among the angels.
