Dr. John Felix Mash Jr., D.D.S., 80, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. A private graveside service will be held at Macon Memorial Park.
Dr. John Felix Mash Jr. was born in Macon, Georgia, on October 5, 1943; and was the only child of Lora Ivolene Nolan Mash and John Felix Mash, Sr. He was the top scholastic graduate in his 1961 class at Lanier Senior High School for Boys. He was ROTC highest ranked officer, Lt. Cadet Colonel. Dr. Mash also attended the University of Georgia and Mercer for predental training and did post graduate work at the University of Florida School of Dentistry.
Dr. Mash was awarded the Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree by Emory University School of Dentistry in 1968. His dental career spanned a total of twenty years. He practiced in Macon, Georgia, and held dental licenses in both Georgia and Florida all his life.
He retired early to care for and nurse his mother who had Parkinson’s disease for twenty-five years. Dr. Mash later lived in Daytona Beach, Florida, for several years.
He was a life member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Association, and Central District Dental Society.
Dr. Mash was a lifelong member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. John was a generous giver to local charities in Middle GA.
