John Thomas Kent

Mr. John Thomas Kent, 66, of Gordon, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024.  A Celebration of Life and Memorial Flight will be held at a later date.

John was born in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Earl Kent and Joyce Kent.  He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.  John was a homebody, but he was no stranger to adventure.  He had a passion for skydiving and his wife, Faye, remembers him as the bravest man she ever knew.  John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  John had a special connection with animals.  He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

John is preceded in death by his father, Earl Kent.  His survived by his wife, Faye Kent; mother, Joyce Kent of Texas; children, Lynn Combel (Andrew) and Jessie Newman (Ken); grandchildren, Annabelle Newman, Blake Combel (and family); and Breeanne Combel (and family); siblings, Cindy, Lloyd, Carmen, Raymon, Barbara, Doug, Alan, Richard, and Phyllis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
