John Willie Jones

John Willie Jones, 95, of 3938 Mickey Drive, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Services will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with the Reverend Steve Womack officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. The family may be contacted at the residence and will greet friends on Saturday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Compassionate Care, 4900 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Georgia 31204. Mr. Jones was a member of Wheeler Heights Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his parents, John Tullie Jones and Nettie Sapp Jones, his wife, Irene Potter Jones, his son, Stan Jones, and his grandson, Tim Jones. Mr. Jones loved woodworking, gardening and flowers. Mr. Jones is survived by his children, Ann Koch (Roy), David Jones and Jim Jones (Nora); eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Virginia Burns, Grace Wright, Lillian Bridgeman, and Fred Jones; numerous nieces and nephews.
