John James Cederstrom, 62, of Macon, Georgia, passed on August 23, 2025.
Son of the late Oscar Vernon Cederstrom and Betty Gladys Clark Cederstrom, John was born in Houston, Texas on December 23, 1962.
After graduating from Escambia High School, John continued his education, demonstrating both his commitment to law enforcement and his thirst for knowledge. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, followed by a Master’s in Homeland Security and ultimately, a specialist degree in Education from Liberty University. These academic achievements laid the foundation for a career devoted to the safety and security of his community.
John was known for his numerous passions outside his professional achievements. An avid movie enthusiast, he could often be found recounting scenes from his favorite films with an infectious enthusiasm that could light up any room. His love for animals was profound, he extended his kindness and warmth to every furry friend he encountered.
Above all, John was passionate about his faith and his country. A patriot at heart, his love for God and the United States was unwavering John extended his kindness and warmth to every furry friend he encountered,
John is survived by his wife, Pamela Cederstrom of Macon; children: Phillip Cederstrom of Panama City, Florida, Breanna Cederstrom of Macon, and Charlie “Kirsten” Cederstrom of Pace, Florida; sister, Shelby; brother, Vernon Cederstrom of Orlando, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Kirby Lewis Cederstrom.
