John Allan Burkhalter

John Allan Burkhalter, 65, of Macon, passed away October 12, 2017. Services will be held Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 7015 Rivoli Road, Macon, Georgia with Reverend Andy Oxford officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service. Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265. Mr. Burkhalter was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was self-employed for many years. Being semi-retired, he enjoyed fishing and scalloping with his family in Steinhatchee, Florida. Mr. Burkhalter is predeceased by his sister, Mary Alice Burkhalter. Mr. Burkhalter is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kristy Burkhalter; children, Shannon Phillips (Joey) of Hamilton, GA, Clint Burkhalter of Macon, and Sarah Burkhalter of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Jacob Chestnut, Noah Phillips, Abby Philips and Drew "Andy" Phillips of Hamilton, GA; sister, Gayle Ward (Tom) of Macon; brothers, Ray Burkhalter (Paula) of Macon and Larry Burkhalter (Dawn) of Macon.
