Macon- John W. "Billy" Jackson, 75, of 3274 Willowdale Drive, died Thursday, April 22, 2010. Services will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with the Reverends Frank H. Harris and Dianne Sweckard officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00P until 7:00PM at Hart's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to the donor's favorite charity. Mr. Jackson was a former member of Lynmore United Methodist Church where he was active with the choir and the Men's Club and served on the Administrative Board. He was an active member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church and the Grace Bible Class. He was a member of Southside Lions' Club and the Macon Lions' Club. Mr. Jackson served on the Macon-Bibb Hospital Authority from October 1985 until September 2006 and was a member of the board of Central Georgia Health System, Health Services of Central Georgia and Central Georgia Rehab. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Jackson was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. He was also a retired fisherman. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Patsy Jackson; sons, Ricky Jackson and his wife, Susan, Forrest Jackson and his wife, Terri, J. Everette Jackson and his wife, Patti, and John Jackson, Jr. and his wife, Beth, all of Macon; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
