Macon- Joe Les Rowell, 78, of 1900 Wesleyan Drive, Apt 1403, died June 28, 2009. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 10:30AM at Riverside Cemetery with the Reverend Mike Johnston officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Mr. Rowell was a founding member of Riverside Golf and Country Club. He was an employee of Litton Industries for more than thirty years. Mr. Rowell is survived by his children, Allen Lloyd Rowell (Janet Robertson) of Athens, GA, Steven Leslie Rowell (Jennifer) of Peachtree City, GA and Valerie Gay Johnston (Mike) of Gastonia, NC; sister, Yvonne Hough (Max) of Lancaster, SC; five grandchildren.
