Joseph W. "Joe" Justice, Sr., passed away on April 29, 2017. He was born on March 5, 1929 in Irwinton, Georgia, the son of the late Thomas Alexander Justice and Beulah Horton Justice. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Wheeler Heights Baptist Church with the Reverends Franklin Etheridge and Kenny Parham officiating. Interment will follow in Stone Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday from 5PM to 7PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Joe was a member of Wheeler Heights Baptist Church and was an ordained Deacon. He loved his church and loved the Lord. He was known as the "Candy Man." He owned Justice Heating and Air Conditioning Company for many years and then retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company after 23 years of service. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 66 years, Joanne K. Justice; 3 sons, Joseph "Joey" Justice,Jr. (Kasey) of Florida; Benny K. Justice of Macon; Thomas B. "Tommy" Justice (Jolyn) of Florida; five grandsons, Christopher Justice (Alli) of Seattle, Washington, Joseph "Tripp" Justice, III, (Jamie) of Macon, Sgt. Tyler Justice of U.S. Marines in Hawaii, Michael Justice, and Alex Justice, both of Florida; two great-granddaughters, Linley and Zoey Justice of Macon; sister, Kittye Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.
