Jobyna "Jo" Hoopes

Jobyna "Jo" Hoopes, 88, of Macon, died Sunday, December 9, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Hart's at the Cupola with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. Burial will be at 2:00PM Friday, December 14, 2012 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends Tuesday 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Jay's Hope Foundation, 1157 Forsyth Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. A minister's wife for 35 years, Mrs. Hoopes enjoyed teaching Sunday School and witnessing for Christ. She enjoyed her family and friends and prayed for them daily. Her goal was to be a blessing to others. Mrs. Hoopes is survived by her daughter, Reva Jones Stuckey (Talmadge) of Macon; son, J Gregory Jones (Genevieve) of Macon; six grandchildren, Joey Stuckey (Jennifer) of Macon, Rachel Rodekhor (Chad) of Clinton, South Carolina, Anna Laura Acree (Mark), Ben Jones, David Jones and Rebecca Jones, all of Macon; five great grandchildren, Sarah, Samuel, Caleb and Luke Rodekhor, and Christopher Acree; two step children, Don Hoopes (Charlene) and Dennis Hoopes; and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
