Joanne Kitchens Justice

Joanne Kitchens Justice, 88, of Macon, entered into rest with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 9, 2021.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler Heights Baptist Church with the Reverend Franklin Etheridge officiating.  The family will greet friends Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street.  Burial will be at Stone Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wheeler Heights Baptist Church, 4318 Riggins Mill Rd, Macon, GA 31217 or donor’s favorite charity.

Born July 13, 1933, to the late Benjamin Melton Kitchens, Sr. and Alma Lanier Kitchens of Twiggs County, Georgia, Mrs. Justice was a graduate of Twiggs County High School and attended GAB Business School in Macon.  She was a co-owner of J&J Ceramics for many years. She was a member of Wheeler Heights Baptist Church, the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class, and choir.  She loved her church and family.   Mrs. Justice was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joseph “Joe” W. Justice, Sr. for 67 years; three brothers, Benjamin “Bubba” Melton Kitchens, Jr., Vivian “Bip” Estes Kitchens, and Emory Hansel “Hank” Kitchens; and sister, Ruth Kitchens Moseley.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Joseph William "Joey" Justice, Jr. (Kasey) of Port Charlotte, Florida; Benjamin Kendall  “Benny” Justice of Macon; Thomas Barry "Tommy" Justice (Jolyn) of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Christopher Kendall Justice (Allie) of Seattle, Washington, Joseph William "Tripp" Justice, III, (Jamie) of Macon, Tyler Benjamin Justice of Gray, Michael Casey Justice, and Alexander Bryan Justice, both of Port Charlotte, Florida; great grandchildren, Linley, Zoey, and Poppy Justice of Macon; several nieces and nephews; and her sweet little dog, Dixie.
