Joan Blount Chance

Joan Blount Chance, 92, of Warner Robins, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, with the Reverend Casey Matthews officiating.

Mrs. Chance was born in Twiggs County to the late Freeman Griffin Blount and Crawley Pauline Sauls Blount.  She was a member of Prospect United Methodist and was retired with over 25 years of service from Robins Federal Credit Union.

Mrs. Chance was preceded in death by her companion, Pete Seward; son, Joe Vivian “Buster” Chance; brother, F,G. “Bud” Blount; sisters, Mozelle B. Poole, Mattie B. Sanders, Evelyn B. Collins, Lois B. Nobles, Dorothy B. Little, and Polly Blount.

Survivors include her; son, F. Dennis Chance, of Macon, Georgia; daughter, Debra Wood (Ricky), of Centerville, Georgia; grandsons, Jason L. Wood (Wendy), Jeremey Travis Wood (Amanda), and Luke Walker (Taylor); great grandchildren, Colby Wood, Ainsley Wood, Bailey Simms, Ayla Mae Wood, Praxton Wood, Lila Walker, and Ryleigh Walker; and several nieces and nephews.
