Joan "Jo" Bridgeman Veal

Macon-Joan "Jo" Bridgeman Veal, 76, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 after an extended illness. Services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 10:00AM at Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, with the Reverend David Mosely officiating. Burial will be in Memory Hill Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Mrs. Veal was born in Macon to the late Grant and Marion Bridgeman. She was a retired Materials Manager from R.A.F.B. and a member of Northridge Baptist Church. Survivors include husband, William A. Veal, Jr. of Macon, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Allyson and David Rosenthal of Memphis, TN; granddaughter, Rhiannon Goertz (Carl, husband), Olive Branch, MS; grandson, Ian Rosenthal, Memphis, TN; and great grandchild, Addison Goertz, Olive Branch, MS. She is also survived by sisters, Marion Gray, Sheila Gammon, Beverley Hardy; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita Williams and Marzelle Kitchens.
