Jimmy Lamar Gatliff, 70, of James, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Chaplinwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, Milledgeville, Georgia, with family at his side.
Jimmy was born on January 23, 1950 in James, Georgia. He was a 1968 graduate of Jones County High School. He worked at Riverside Ford, Coca-Cola, and Bloodworth Construction Company. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church in Gray, Georgia.
Jimmy enjoyed fishing, watching baseball, bingo, and time with his family and friends. His family will miss his kind and quiet spirit.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Henry L. and Nancy O’Neal Gatliff and sister, Dianne Gatliff. He is survived by his sisters, Sandra Spivey (David) of Macon, Georgia and Mary Jo Jarrell (Tommy) of Gray Georgia, brothers, Wayne Gatliff (Vivian) of Eatonton, Georgia and Mike Gatliff (Barbara Ann) of Gray, Georgia; four nieces, three nephews; three great nieces, two great nephews; one great-great niece; and aunts, uncles; and cousins.
The family wishes to express their great appreciation to Chaplinwood for their love and caring of Jimmy. He thought each of them as his family, also.
Graveside services will be Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at James Cemetery, James, Georgia with the Reverend Gary Thomas of Elam Baptist Church officiating. Memorial and love offerings may be made to Elam Baptist Church, 203 Elam Church Road, Gray, Georgia 31032.
