Jimmy Black, 65, of Macon passed away Friday, December 25, 2020. A Memorial service will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Hart’s Jones County Chapel with the Reverend John Haney officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Jimmy was born October 20, 1955 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Ellen Black; two daughters, Amber Catron (Todd) of Douglasville, Georgia and Tina Bridges (Jeff) of Hawkinsville, Georgia; three sons, Bobby Black (Sarah) of Perry, Georgia, Chris Black (Kati) of Warner Robins, Georgia and Adam Fuller (Meddie) of Jones County, Georgia; seventeen grandchildren, David, Levi, Elijah, Caleb, Neal, Melody, Luke, Mahkenzi, Emily, Brayden, Rylan, Nolan, Mila, Noah, Gage, Gavin, and Addison; his parents, Margaret and Larry Walker of Hawkinsville, Georgia; and sister-n-law, Diana Black of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bryant Black and his brother, Tony Black.
Jimmy spent forty-two years in Law Enforcement, spending the last twenty-eight years with the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, serving as an Investigator and Captain of Logistics. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Rangers fan. Jimmy always carried a silver bullet in his pocket symbolizing purity and justice and the search for justice.
Jimmy was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother in arms. He will be missed by all who knew him.
